With a Bachelor of Science in Urban & Regional Studies from Cornell University and a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California's Sol Price School of Public Policy, Demitrius Zeigler brings a robust foundation of knowledge to every project, and is motivated by a passion for building strong, inclusive, and prosperous communities. Demitrius promotes sustainable design and development solutions. Throughout his career as a land use and community development specialist, Demitrius has empowered communities by providing strategic planning for architecture and design firms, real estate development companies, non-profit organizations, and cities.

Demitrius's experience includes substantial involvement with CEQA and NEPA law and documentation (EIRs, etc). For example, during his tenure at Michael Baker International, Demitrius managed significant projects such as the City of San Jose Landfill Project’s cogeneration facility, where landfill methane gas was converted to municipal electricity. In another project, Demitrius served as a Project Manager for the Moffett Park Specific Plan, an expansive blueprint encompassing 1,156 acres in Sunnyvale, outlining a visionary approach to smart growth, transit-oriented development, and sustainable design.

Demitrius's professional journey also includes collaboration with various state and federal entities. In his role as Project Manager for the EIR of the US-101/CA-152 widening and improvement project, he adeptly orchestrated engagement with an array of governmental stakeholders, ranging from the City and County of Monterey to CDFW, Caltrans, Army Corps of Engineers, VTA, FTA/FHWA, and more.

During his tenure with Beverly Hills-based Casden Properties, Demitrius served as the lead project manager for substantial development endeavors across Southern California. In this influential role, he facilitated the realization of expansive residential projects in cities such as West Hollywood, Simi Valley, Oxnard and Los Angeles. His impact resonates through the development of over 2,000 residential units, including those designated for moderate, low, and very-low income individuals, underscoring his dedication to diverse and inclusive housing solutions. Furthermore, Demitrius has established a commendable record of collaboration with public resource agencies. His tenure as a Real Estate Representative at the Metropolitan Water District was highlighted by the adept management of extensive agricultural leases across the Sacramento Bay Delta and Palo Verde Valley regions, in the promotion of innovative agricultural best management practices.

In addition to his work in planning, Demitrius is the founder of Long Beach Farms, an urban farm and cooperative with a mission of creating a more secure, local, sustainable food model that aims to increase access to affordable, healthy food. He has established thriving urban and community-based organic farms from Portland, Oregon, to Long Beach, California. These initiatives support the local food economy, promote community resilience, and contribute to a sustainable environment.
